Interplanetary Shock (or CME Arrival)
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Location: Earth
Event Time: 2023-02-13T17:02Z ( DSCOVR: PLASMAG )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
DSCOVR: PLASMAG
ACE: SWEPAM
ACE: MAG
Activity ID: 2023-02-13T17:02:00-IPS-001 (version 5)
Quality of ICME Signature: 1 (lacks some signatures)
Note: From Tarik Salman, LASSOS team: Minimum enhancement of the B field over the background. A drop in proton density and the start of a low-density period coincide with this arrival time. Temperature data seems to be sensitive. A significant data gap makes it difficult to analyze the nature of field rotations. However, the rotations might not be significant due to a possible flank crossing. Due to that, at L1, the flux rope is possibly not encountered. The end of this ICME passage can be estimated as 2023/02/14T22:06Z. This estimated end time coincides with the start of an increase in proton density and less coherent field components are seen beyond this. The signature is under further analysis.
